How Are LiteMount Modules Different from Other Modules?

  • The only lightweight module that seamlessly integrates with every existing metal roof attachment system.
  • Shatterproof. Only glassless mounted panel can weather any storm.
  • Flexible Sun2 cells are encapsulated between durable polymer sheets.
  • UL, IEC certified. Class A fire rated.
  • Lightweight solar system − Less than 1 lb per square foot installed.
  • Combat shading with bypass diodes at every cell.
  • Warranty for product workmanship and power production: 25-years.

Watts

180 Watts Per Module

The vision-changing solution we have all been looking for. LiteMount is light, thin, durable, and created to exacting specifications.
Traditional cells are made with silicon, which is brittle, and are covered with glass, which can be damaged by hail. Sunflare modules start with a stainless steel substrate with a layer of semiconductors less than one micrometer thick Then they are covered with a polymer top sheet. So you can be sure these modules won’t crack under pressure and surrounded with a sturdy, light aluminum frame.
Better at Dawn and Dusk
Sunflare delivers more energy than traditional solar in low light conditions.
Better in Poor Weather
Cloudy days, fog, and high humidity, no problem.
Shading
Whenever you talk about solar, you need to consider shading. The panels might be shaded by trees, debris and neighboring buildings that can affect the amount of power the panel produces. Sunflare modules are better than traditional silicon panels in partial shade. Each cell has a bypass diode--that means only the shaded cell turns off. Other panels have one bypass diode per string, so that if one cell in that string is shaded, the whole string goes out. Depending where the shade is hitting, the whole panel could be knocked out.

What affects how much power my panels generate?

Solar irradiance
Solar Irradiance is the power received by the panel from the sun. Irradiance is effected by time of day, time of year, whether you are in the sunniest of states or the cloudiest, and whether there is shading from nearby trees and buildings.

So even if you have a 250 watt panel, it might only be able to produce, 150 watts depending on where you are and when.
